![]() I literally just tested this and yes, I was redirected first try when clicking directly on the Skip Ad button, nowhere near the ad space.Įxisting viruses don't just suddenly decide to show up when you click Skip on an ad.fly page unless they're specifically coded to do that, and no, they are not all coded to do that. Any clicks made on the Ad.fly page trigger the page to redirect to malicious websites. The problem is even though they click Skip Ad, the advertisement page Ad.fly displays is malicious and prevents the user from doing that. If you want to use mods hosted on DavoOnline, be more considerate to Davo before accusing it of hosting "malware", which many others, including (and not limited to) Rob55Rod here and popular Spore YouTuber DarkEdgeTV can vouch that it is not.ĭavo, the problem isn't that they're clicking the ads. If the site didn't have money, there would be no modding community there, since it wouldn't exist. If it weren't for ads, the site wouldn't have any money. What you are most likely doing is clicking on obvious ads for stuff when you visit Adfly for the download links, which for one is ridiculous in its own nature seeing as download ad scams are present anywhere and should be avoided anyway, as well as the giant yellow button at the top right that takes you directly to the download. We have preventative measures to ensure that malware and bots are not able to penetrate the site, and they are cleaned up rapidly if there is some sort of breach, which has only ever occurred with harmless advertising bots, and is no longer an issue as of any recent time. DavoOnline PSA: Adfly is not dangerous, nor is it malware. ![]()
